The latest cold front has pushed off to our south. It has left the state with a dry, stable air mass overhead. Today’s weather will be rather quiet, but on the cool side. Temperatures will top of mainly in the 50s and lower 60s.
Speaking of temperatures, it is going to be a chilly to a cold night in some locations. A Frost Advisory has been posted for portions of Carbon and Albany counties through 8 AM Friday morning. Temperatures there will drop into the lower and middle 30s. Some of the sheltered valleys in those counties could see lows in the upper 20s. Much of the rest of the state will see overnight lows in the upper 30s to the mid 40s.
Temperatures will then warm up nicely over the next couple of days. The weather on Friday and Saturday looks gorgeous statewide. Expect mainly dry conditions, lots of sunshine and highs mainly in the upper 60s and 70s.
