A Big Class 2A Showdown on the Grid-Iron [AUDIO]

Typically the target is on the backs of the top-ranked team in the state, but that’s not the case this evening according to one head coach.  Our Cowboy State News Network high school football game of the week stops in 2A this afternoon, as #1 Mountain View entertains #3 Lovell.  The Bulldogs have played in the last two 2A state championship games, while the Buffaloes have had their struggles.  But Mountain View has worked hard, under head coach Brent Walk, to get to where they are at right now, which is 3-0 and at the top of the rankings.  And even though they’ve vaulted to the to spot, Walk still believes the target is on Lovell.

Bulldogs head coach Doug Hazen has coached teams in big games before, but this is a young team that hasn’t played in this type of game before.  So he believes that the Buffaloes have a little more experience at certain positions.

In other action today across the state:  In 3A, #1 Powell hosts #5 Jackson…..in 1A, #1 Cokeville is at #5 Lingle….and in six-man, #1 Dubois hosts #2 Meeteetsee.
