Accident Claims Life Of Eastern Wyoming College Basketball Coach’s Wife

The wife of Eastern Wyoming College basketball coach Casey Jones was killed Wednesday in a car crash in Nebraska Wednesday.  The Hall County Sheriff’s department says 39 year old Jennifer Jones, of Torrington was pronounced dead at the scene along Interstate 80 in south-central Nebraska.

A news release says an eastbound semitrailer veered into the path of an eastbound passenger vehicle that swerved into the median and then the westbound lane, where it collided with another semitrailer.  Two others were injured in the crash.  The driver has been identified as a 26 year old Karisa Bennett of Torrington.  The injured passengers were 35 year-old Sarah Hatch and 34 year-old Larrah Gurnsey from Scottsbluff.

The driver and the two injured passengers were taken to St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, Nebraska.  The truck driver was not injured.
