It all comes down to one game. Number one Gillette and #2 Cheyenne East meet in the final regular season game at the old Okie Blanchard Stadium in Cheyenne. But there’s more to the game than that. It’s also for the number one overall seed in the 4A playoffs, and it means even more to the Thunderbirds, as a loss drops them down to the three seed. If the Camels fall, they will still host postseason games until a possible title game in Laramie.
East head coach Chad Goff says to have this much riding on this game, will make it a fun atmosphere this (Friday) evening.
Gillette head coach Vic Wilkerson knows what type of talent the T-birds have, but just the number of athletes on the field for both teams makes this a fun game.
The high school football postseason begins next week.
