The latest cold front has pushed off to our south and has left behind a cooler, but a mainly dry air mass. Thursday’s weather will feature mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies statewide with highs mainly in the 40s and 50s.
Moisture bubbling up from the south on Friday will bring southern portions of the state a chance for showers or mixed showers in the lower elevations. Areas along and to the south of I-80 from near Elk Mountain west to the Utah border will be in the best position to see the shower activity. The higher elevations will see some new snow. The rest of the state is expected to stay mainly dry.
On Saturday a cold front moves into western counties. Developing snow showers are expected there later in the day. The rest of the state will start the weekend with mainly dry conditions and partly cloudy to variably cloudy skies.
