Most folks knew that the Wyoming Cowboy football team was going to be a young football team, with not a ton of experience on the field. But the Pokes senior class is one of the smallest in the country. With just eight seniors, the Cowboys have the second fewest number of seniors, in the country. Only Wake Forest has fewer, with just six seniors for the Demon Deacons. Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl has been part of young teams with small senior classes before. And he says it kind of reminds him of a team he had at North Dakota State.
Sophomore running back Brian Hill saw significant time as a freshman last year. From the first game of the season, until he was the featured back late in the year, Hill was a confident player. And he says if he had any advice for the freshman that are getting ready to play now, it’s to have confidence.
The Cowboys take the field for the first time in 2015 Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium. The Pokes host North Dakota at 2 pm.
