The University of Wyoming has extended the application deadline for its Master of Business Administration Program for people who have lost work because of the economic downturn.
The university says the deadline for the program application is now Aug. 1.
MBA Program recruiter Tanner Parmely says earning an MBA has historically translated into increased career options and pay.
In addition to dual degree tracks in international business, law, engineering and pharmacy, the UW full-time, on-campus MBA program offers degrees in general business and energy management. The program also offers a part-time, 100 percent online MBA degree for working professionals or for those in transition. The online curriculum includes general business and energy concentration tracks.
Hundreds of workers have been laid off at Wyoming coal mines in recent months.
