U.S. Senator Mike Enzi, R-Wyo., made the following statement on the future of the repeal and replacement of Obamacare:

“Under Obamacare, premiums have more than doubled since 2013, and in Wyoming, we have only one insurer, some of the highest premiums in the country and thousands of folks currently paying millions in Obamacare taxes. This year we have also seen that people living in 70 percent of U.S. counties will have little or no choice of insurers on the exchanges, and it is expected to only get worse next year. Nothing that has happened today changes those facts. Those people suffering under the failures of Obamacare still need relief from the disastrous law.

“I am disappointed that we were unable to make more progress at this point in time, but this is not the end of the line. We all know health care is complicated, but that doesn’t change the need for us to find a way forward in order to provide relief for our constituents. And I do believe we can find a way forward because ultimately there is broad agreement that Obamacare is not a perfect law and that it has serious issues. I will continue working on a plan to solve our health care woes.”
