CASPER, Wyo.— Natrona County authorities are looking into why a man charged with sexually abusing four girls never faced criminal charges a decade ago when he was accused of similar offenses.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports William Kenneth Hall was charged Thursday with 14 counts of sexual abuse stemming from the alleged rape of a girl this summer as well as the alleged rape of three others between 1999 and 2002.

Charging documents say that in a 2003 interview, Hall admitted to having sex with a 12-year-old girl. Another girl interviewed that same year told authorities Hall had molested her.

Now, Sheriff Gus Holbrook says he is reviewing documents from investigators who worked the previous cases to figure out why charges were never brought against Hall.

Hall’s attorney declined to comment Friday.
