Cool Temperatures With Rain Through Tuesday, Wet Snow Possible On Tuesday Night

An upper-level weather system will slowly slide across the state of Wyoming for the rest of today and into Tuesday.  Cold, Canadian air will also move into the region by Tuesday.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, areas of patchy fog, and rain showers with a few thunderstorms during this time.  Rain will also mix with snow over higher elevations of I-80 (Cheyenne to Arlington) and WY-28 near South Pass tonight and continue for much of the day on Tuesday.  This will create wet to slick/slushy road conditions for these areas.  Temperatures will be cooler than normal today and then become even colder on Tuesday.  Daytime highs will remain in the 40′s and 50′s during this time.  Rain will then mix with and turn to snow for all elevations above 5,000 feet on Tuesday night.  Reduced visibility with wet to slick/slushy road conditions are expected into Wednesday morning, especially for central and eastern Wyoming.
