A low pressure system will be settled to our east today and Tuesday, while higher pressure builds in the west. As a result, a strong pressure gradient will be set up over the state of Wyoming during this time. This will create gusty to windy conditions, especially across southeastern portions of the state. Watch out for wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph. We will also see plenty of sunshine and mainly dry weather conditions. Temperatures will be slightly warmer and closer to average today, with highs in the 30’s to lower 40’s. Unseasonably mild temperatures will then arrive by Tuesday. High pressure will then build over the entire state of Wyoming on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies, warmer than normal temperatures, and mainly dry weather conditions during this time. No major travel concerns will be in the forecast for the second half of the work week.
