The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has trapped and relocated an adult male grizzly bear after it killed sheep in the western part of the state.
The bear was moved this past week to the Shoshone National Forest in northwest Wyoming. The release site is located in currently occupied grizzly bear habitat.
Authorities say it had killed sheep on a U.S. Forest Service grazing allotment north of Pinedale.
Grizzly bears are listed as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act.
