Cheyenne attorney Harriet Hageman is joining the growing field of candidates seeking the Wyoming Governor’s office. Hageman kicked off her campaign in Cheyenne with the main platform of her campaign bringing the power back to the states from Washington DC, and rolling back federal regulations.
“I am running as a proud Republican, not because I am anti government, but because I believe in good government,” Hageman told a crowd at the Cheyenne Depot. “I am running because I believe in serving my state and Nation as a problem solver, as an advocate for our citizens, our industries, out schools, our students and our families. I am running because I believe Wyoming can take the lead and right this ship by ensuring that government serves Wyoming as seek to serve to protect our constitutional freedoms and liberties and defend our way of life.”
Hageman is the third Republican to declare for the Governor’s office, joining Bill Dahlin from Sheridan and Rex Rammel from Rock Springs. Hageman is the second woman to announce, along with Democrat Mary Throne.
