High pressure will continue to control the weather across the state of Wyoming today. Expect plenty of sunshine, mainly dry weather conditions, and unseasonably hot temperatures statewide. Daytime highs will be in the 80’s and 90’s. Winds will be strong and gusty today statewide, with wind gusts between 30 and 45 mph. The combination of hot temperatures, low humidity, and strong winds will create a high fire danger across much of the state. High pressure will continue to control the weather across the region through much of the day on Thursday. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies, breezy to gusty winds, and warmer than normal temperatures. By the late afternoon/early evening hours, a cool front and weather system will approach the state of Wyoming. This will cause clouds to thicken and there will also be a chance for isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. The best chance for precipitation will be across southeastern portions of the state. We will then see slightly more cloud cover, milder and closer to average temperatures, and another chance for showers and thunderstorms on Friday.
