A 60-year-old man from Kirby is dead after his pickup rolled on US 20 north of Thermopolis on Saturday afternoon. The Wyoming Highway Patrol reports that Douglas Whitt was not wearing his seat belt, was ejected from the truck during the crash, and died on scene.
Troopers investigating the crash are looking at alcohol use and driver inattention as possible contributing factors in the crash. Whitt’s death is the 12th Wyoming highway fatality so far this year.
