High pressure will be settled over the entire state of Wyoming today. Sunny to mostly sunny skies, mainly dry weather conditions, and warmer than normal temperatures will be in the forecast statewide. Highs will be in the 40’s and 50’s, with 30’s and 40’s expected in the mountains and valleys. Winds will also be breezy to gusty throughout the state today, with gusts as high as 35 mph. We will then see winds increase and become strong across central and southeastern Wyoming late tonight into early Friday morning, with gusts between 35 and 50 mph. A low pressure system will approach western Wyoming on Friday, while higher pressure continues to build over the rest of the state. As a result, gusty to windy conditions will be found throughout the state. The highest winds will occur in central and southeastern Wyoming. Wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph will be common, with some higher gusting possible near Arlington and Laramie. Clouds will increase across western Wyoming during the day and there will also be a chance for developing light snow showers. Elsewhere, expect mostly sunny skies and mainly dry weather conditions. This low pressure system and cold front will then push east Friday night into early Saturday. This will create a small chance for flurries or light snow statewide. Clouds will then gradully clear for the rest of Saturday as this low pressure system moves out of the region.
