JACKSON, Wyo. (AP) — A member of the 1980s metal band Motley Crue now calls himself a local in Jackson Hole. Bassist and songwriter Nikki Sixx moved to the area last summer. He has a house on West Gros Ventre Butte. Sixx tells the Jackson Hole News & Guide he moved away from Los Angeles because the city is overpopulated. Sixx is a recovered heroin addict and says he wants to help out in the community. He has donated proceeds from his book “Heroin Diaries” to Covenant House California. The money helped establish a music room for the nonprofit’s homeless youth shelter.
