The Fishhawk Fire was discover this afternoon approximately 40 miles west of Cody, Wyo. The fire, which is located six miles south of U.S. Highway 14/16/20, is estimated to be 500 acres.
Due to the location of the fire, the Shoshone National Forest has closed the Fishhawk Trail and Kitty Creek Trail for public safety and to allow for any firefighting operations.
A Shoshone National Forest engine and Park County Fire resources have responded to the fire. Additional resources are being ordered.
