An upper-level weather system will approach the state of Wyoming today. Monsoonal moisture will also start to be transferred into the region. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with a good chance for rain showers and thunderstorms statewide. Heavy rain and minor flooding will be possible, mainly across western portions of the state. Strong and possibly severe thunderstorms are also expected, mainly for central and eastern Wyoming. Watch out for hail, gusty winds, and lots of lightning with any storm that develops. Temperatures will be not as hot today, but will still remain close to the average for this time of year. Expect daytime highs in the 70’s and 80’s. Monsoonal moisture and this passing weather system will continue to control the weather across the state of Wyoming on Tuesday. Expect variable cloudiness with very mild to warm temperatures statewide. Showers and thunderstorms are expected for northern, central, and eastern Wyoming, while there will be only a small chance for showers and thunderstorms for far southwestern portions of the state.
