Rawlins senior distance runner Sydney Thorvaldson keeps adding to her achievement list. This time, it’s a first for the state of Wyoming, as Thorvaldson has been named the National Girls Cross Country Gatorade Athlete of the Year.
Thorvaldson has won four straight 3A cross country state titles, setting state records along the way. She is a six-time Gatorade Athlete of the Year in Wyoming–including two track and field honors. She is the winner of the USA Meet of Champions and High School National Invite.
Thorvaldson is also an excellent student, with a 4.0 GPA, and she will continue her athletic and academic career at the University of Arkansas.
