Road Impact forecast for Friday, March4 [VIDEO]

High pressure will be the main weather feature throughout the state of Wyoming for the rest of today and Saturday.  Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies, breezy to gusty winds, and mainly dry weather conditions during this time.  Temperatures will also be mild and above normal, with high temperatures in the 40’s to lower 60’s.  By Sunday, a low pressure system and cold front will approach the region.  For western and south-central Wyoming, expect thickening clouds, gusty winds, and developing rain and mountain snow showers.  Light snow will then be possible for lower elevations by the evening and overnight hours.  Roads will stay mainly wet during the day and will then become slick after sunset.  Temperatures will also be cooler, but it will still be above normal.  For the rest of the state, expect slightly more cloud cover, but conditions stay mainly dry.  Temperatures will also remain unseasonably mild.  The only travel concern for central and eastern Wyoming for the end of the weekend will be gusty to strong winds at times.
