A large low pressure system will move into the Rockies and Plains today and will remain settled over the entire region on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Within this large weather system, there will be faster-moving weather disturbances that bring moisture and atmospheric energy into the state of Wyoming. For today, expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, breezy to possibly strong winds, and colder than normal temperatures. High temperatures will remain in the 30’s to lower 40’s. Light to scattered snow showers or a rain/snow mix will also be found throughout much of the state. Watch out for periods of reduced visibility due to snow, blowing snow, and patchy fog. Roads will also be mainly wet today and will then turn slick to icy/slushy late tonight into Friday. We will continue to see cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and cold temperatures on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Expect light to moderate snowfall statewide on Friday and Saturday. There will be a smaller chance for snow on Sunday.
