A ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the state of Wyoming today. However, there will be a small supply of moisture that is transferred into western portions of the state due to an approaching low pressure system. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies, breezy to gusty winds, and unseasonably warm temperatures statewide. High temperatures will remain in the 70’s and 80’s. There will be just a small chance for showers and thunderstorms across western, southwestern, and south-central Wyoming later today and tonight. Conditions stay mainly dry elsewhere. A Pacific low pressure system and cool front will then slowly move across the region on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, breezy to gusty winds, and noticeably cooler temperatures during this time. Rain showers and thunderstorms will be likely, with heavy rain expected at times. There will also be the potential for hail, gusty winds, and frequent lighting.
