High pressure will start to build over the state of Wyoming today and will remain settled overhead through Saturday. However, there will be a persistent flow of subtropical moisture and atmospheric energy into the region due to a stationary low pressure system in the west coast. Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies, light to breezy winds, and daily chances for showers and thunderstorms statewide today through Saturday. Any storm that develops could be capable of producing brief periods of heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail, and frequent lightning. There will also be a gradual warming trend during this time, which will allow temperatures to become above normal by Friday and Saturday.
