ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo.- Two Rock Springs Junior High School students were arrested in connection to threatening posts about the school made on Instagram.
The Rocket-Miner reports that the Rock Springs Police Department learned of posts on the social media platform referring to one student bringing a gun to school while advising another student not to attend classes on Monday.
The school was placed on lockdown Monday morning. Officers did not find any weapons in the students’ backpacks or lockers.
The student who posted the threats has been transported to the Sweetwater County Jail for terroristic threats, a felony. The second student was arrested, but later was released to his parent.
