Travel Weather Impacts [VIDEO]

High pressure will start to build over the entire state of Wyoming today and will remain settled overhead through the end of the work week.  For today, expect sunny to mostly sunny skies and mainly dry weather conditions, but temperatures will be noticeably colder and closer to average.  High temperatures will remain in the 20’s and 30’s.  Winds will be breezy to gusty at times, but no significant gusting is expected.  The only major travel concern today will be lingering slick and icy roads in western and southern Wyoming through mid-day due to recent snowfall.  Minimal cloudiness and mainly dry weather conditions will remain in the forecast statewide on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Temperatures will also be warmer and above normal, with highs in the 30’s to lower 50’s.  Winds will increase and become strong on Wednesday, mainly for the more wind-prone areas of southeastern Wyoming.  Watch out for wind gusts between 35 and 50 mph at times.  Winds will then lessen again by Thursday and Friday.
