High pressure will remain settled over the state of Wyoming today. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with very warm to hot temperatures statewide. We could see temperatures reach close to 10 degrees above normal, with daytime highs staying the 80’s to lower 90’s. Conditions will remain mainly dry across far western portions of the state. However, there will be a chance for showers and thunderstorms for central and eastern Wyoming due to low-level moisture and daytime heating. Any storms that develop could be strong to severe and capable of producing hail, gusty winds, and brief periods of heavy rain. An upper-level weather system and cool front will move across central and eastern Wyoming on Thursday, which will bring cooler and closer to average temperatures. There will also be a better chance for showers and thunderstorms. Once again, storms could be strong to severe. Meanwhile, high pressure continues to keep conditions unseasonably warm and mainly dry across western Wyoming.
