A ridge of high pressure will build over the state of Wyoming today. Expect partly sunny, hazy skies (due to wildfires in the Pacific Northwest) and breezy to gusty winds throughout the state. Temperatures will also be warmer and closer to average, with daytime highs in the 70’s and 80’s. A small supply of monsoonal moisture will also flow into far western portions of the state today, which could trigger a few hit or miss thunderstorms. Elsewhere, conditions will stay mainly dry. High pressure will remain settled over the region on Tuesday. Monsoonal moisture will also push farther into the state. Expect hazy skies with even warmer and slightly above normal temperatures. There will be a chance for isolated showers and thunderstorms for western and southern Wyoming. Meanwhile, conditions stay mainly dry for central and northeastern Wyoming. An upper-level weather system will bring slightly more cloud cover and better chance for showers and thunderstorms to the entire state of Wyoming by Wednesday.
