High pressure will build over the state of Wyoming today and for much of the day on Saturday. Expect sunny to mostly sunny skies, mainly dry weather conditions, and unseasonably warm temperatures during this time. Temperatures on Saturday could reach 20 to 25 degrees above the average for this time of year. High temperatures into the start of the weekend will stay in the 60’s and 70’s, with some 80’s across the eastern plains. Winds will also remain breezy to gusty at times, with gusts as high as 35 mph. A low pressure system and cool front will then move across the region late Saturday night into Sunday. This will cause winds to increase and become strong statewide, with gusts between 35 and 50 mph at times. There could also be some occasional gusts of 50 to 55 mph near Cheyenne, Bordeaux, and Vedauwoo on Sunday. Any precipitation associated with this weather system will stay to the north of us, so expect mainly dry weather conditions throughout Wyoming on Saturday night and Sunday. Temperatures will become cooler for the end of the weekend across northern and central Wyoming, but it will still be warmer than normal. Unseasonably warm temperatures continue throughout southern Wyoming.
