A fast-moving weather system will slide across western and northern Wyoming today. This will cause clouds to thicken throughout the state by this afternoon and evening. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will also be possible statewide. Watch out for hail, gusty winds, lots of lightning, and brief periods of heavy rain with any storm that develops. Temperatures will also be warmer and near average across the state of Wyoming, with daytime highs 80’s to lower 90’s. High pressure will then build over the region on Thursday. This will keep skies mostly sunny and conditions mainly dry. Seasonably warm temperatures will also continue. By Friday, another weather system and another round of monsoonal moisture will start to move into the region. We will see increasing cloud cover, breezy to gusty winds, and late-day showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures, however, remain very warm and near average for the end of the work week.
