WGFD Lifts Fire Bans on Commission-owned Lands

LARAMIE – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department has lifted a fire ban that was put into effect in August on all Game and Fish Commission-owned and administered lands within the Laramie Region.

Hunters can once again have open campfires, use charcoal grills and coal or wood burning stoves on the Red Rim Daley and Grizzly, Pennock, Wick, Cottonwood, Jelm, Thorne/Williams, Forbes, Table Mountain, Springer, Rawhide, and Laramie Peak Wildlife Habitat Management Areas, and all Public Access Areas within the Laramie Region. Restrictions on smoking in open areas have also been lifted.
