This Wonder is a hands-on school for both young and old.  It’s based at the old Elbo Dude Ranch, tucked away in a beautiful valley along Upper Ditch Creek.

It was founded in 1967 as a summer field biology program for high schoolers, but it has grown into a year-round program with classes serving the needs of elementary to college level students.  There are summertime four-day adult seminars held here on such diverse subjects as entomology for fly-fishers, birdwatching, the biology of bugs, wildflower identification, river channels, and grizzly bear biology.

In early winter there is a month long wilderness EMT course offered that is one of the few programs of its kind in the nation, at the Teton Science School.

Classes at the Teton Science School are limited to 12 students, and even operate wildlife-viewing safaris throughout the Grand Teton and Yellowstone area.  The Murie Natural History Museum is here, which displays thousands of specimens of birds, mammals, and plants, at the Teton Science School, an educational Wonder of Wyoming.
