WYDOT Road Impact Forecast [Video]

A large low pressure system that has “cut-off” from the normal weather flow will continue to hover over the entire Rockies and Plains today and Tuesday.  There will be plenty of moisture and pieces of energy that are transported into the state of Wyoming during this time.  Expect cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, breezy to gusty winds, and colder than normal temperatures statewide.  There will be a chance for light to scattered snow showers, especially in northern portions of the state.  Watch out for some periods of reduced visibility.  Roads will also become slick and icy, mainly early and late in the day.  Higher pressure will then build over the state on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  This will bring warmer and above normal temperatures to the region.  However, there will be a small chance for showers and thunderstorms.
