2A Boys State Tourney Preview [AUDIO]

by Keith Kelley–3 Mar ’15

The 1A/2A boys and girls state basketball tournament gets going Thursday morning at Casper College and the Casper Events Center.  2A boys has some new blood at the top, as Wyoming Indian is absent from the bracket for the first time in some time.  Instead, the Pine Bluff boys head to state as the top-ranked team from the East, while Greybull is the top seed from the West.

Hornets head coach Will Gray says outside of Wyoming Indian–which did not make state–and Wind River, there are some differences in style of play between the East and West.

Pine Bluffs will open up the tournament with Lyman, which fell all the way to the four-seed out of the West.  Gray says that the Eagles are loaded with good players.

2A boys matchups:

Rocky Mountain vs.  Tongue River–12 pm at Casper College

Pine Bluffs vs.  Lyman–1:30 pm at Casper College

Lusk vs.  Wind River–7:30 pm at Casper College

Greybull vs.  Burns–9 pm at Casper College
