Early Fog Expected For Southeastern Wyoming, Small Chance For Showers/T-Storms In Southern Wyoming Later Today

Our latest cool front and weather system will move out of the region early this morning.  Expect morning clouds and lingering fog as a result, mainly across southeastern Wyoming.  Skies will then partially clear during the afternoon and evening hours as higher pressure builds overhead.  There will be a small chance for rain showers and a few thunderstorms for far southern portions of the state later today due to lingering low-level moisture and daytime heating.  Cool and fall-like temperatures will be found in southeastern Wyoming as well as the mountains and higher elevations.  Daytime highs will stay in the 50’s and 60’s.  Elsewhere, higher pressure will be the main weather feature today.  Expect increasing sunshine and mainly dry weather conditions.  Temperatures will also be warmer and slightly above normal, with high temperatures in the 70’s and 80’s.  High pressure will continue to build over the entire state on Wednesday, which will keep skies mostly sunny.  Temperatures will also be even warmer and above normal statewide.  However, there will be a chance for isolated to scattered rain showers and a few thunderstorms for western and southern Wyoming.  Another round of cool and very unsettled weather will arrive on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
