Turning Cooler, Rain & T-Storms Likely Until Friday

A cool front and weather system will move into the state of Wyoming later today and into Friday.  We will see early sunshine today and then clouds will thicken for the afternoon and evening hours.  Rain showers and thunderstorms will also be likely, especially later in the day.  Any storms that develop could produce small hail and gusty winds, mainly in central and eastern Wyoming.  Heavy rain will also be possible statewide, which will could create minor flooding and standing water on roadways.  Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler today, but it will still be close to the average for this time of year.  Daytime highs will remain in the 60’s to lower 70’s.  We will then see mostly cloudy skies, breezy to gusty winds, and noticeably cooler temperatures on Friday.  Rain showers and thunderstorms will also be likely for the end of the work week.    Higher pressure brings more sunshine and warmer than normal temperatures to Wyoming this weekend, but there will still be a small chance for showers and thunderstorms.
