An upper-level weather system will be settled over western and northern portions of the state for the rest of today and Friday. Expect partly to mostly sunny skies with isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. Watch out for heavy rain and minor flooding at times, mainly for northwestern parts of the state. Meanwhile, higher pressure will build over the rest of the state during this time. This will keep skies sunny to mostly sunny and conditions mainly dry for central, eastern, and southern Wyoming. Temperatures will be warm and close to average statewide for the end of the work week, with daytime highs staying in the 70’s and 80’s. High pressure will continue to build and control the weather across the entire state this weekend. Expect plenty of sunshine with seasonably warm temperatures. However, we still cannot rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorm, mainly across northern portions of Wyoming.
