The Wyoming Cowboys are anxious to get back on to the field this weekend, when they host Eastern Michigan. That’s because the last time out, Wyoming was beaten up by FCS member North Dakota, 24-13. In that loss, both the offensive and defensive lines had problems up front. The D-line is supposed to be a strength for the Pokes, but the Wyoming defense gave up 276 yards on the ground, and just didn’t get the push up front that they needed to be successful.
Head coach Craig Bohl says it’s something that has to improve, because that veteran group will get tested once again this week, by Eastern Michigan.
And sometimes getting back on the field as soon as possible is the best to way to get over a bad loss. Defensive lineman Uso Olive said it was good to get back out there, but ‘s been hard to get over that loss to North Dakota.
Bohl did announce that starting linebacker/nickelback, D.J. May has been suspended for this Saturday’s game against the Eagles, citing a violation of team rules. Bohl will have no further comment on the suspension. Sophomore Tim Kamana will move into the starting position.
Wyoming hosts Eastern Michigan at 2 pm Saturday afternoon in Laramie.
