A ridge of high pressure will continue to build over the state of Wyoming today through the rest of the work week. Southwesterly winds will also transport monsoonal moisture into the region during this time. Expect early sunshine with thickening cloud cover during the rest of the day. There will also be daily chances for showers and thunderstorms today through at least Friday. The best chance for precipitation will be today and Wednesday, while storms will stay more isolated on Thursday and Friday. However, any storms that develop during this time could be strong to severe and capable of producing hail, gusty winds, and brief periods of heavy rain. Temperatures will stay very warm to hot and near or slightly above normal until Friday. Expect daytime highs in the 80’s to mid 90’s.
