The Wyoming Cowboys will have to try to get off the field and give their offense a chance. Air Force is second in the country in time of possession. The Falcons are very difficult to get off the field for a defense. The way they run their offense, they see a lot of third and fourth down and short yardage situations. The Wyoming defense is going to have to be able to get off the field in those situations. Linebacker Easton Gibbs says that’s key in every game, but especially when there’s limited possessions, like there will be against the Falcons.

“It’s a huge emphasis, it always is, every week. They run the football well with their triple option offense. We’ve got to prevent them from getting into third and shorts, that’s where they want to live,” said Gibbs. “We want to get the ball back to our offense as much as possible, as they’ve proved their an explosive offense this year. We know they’re going to put points up, so the more we can get the ball in their hands, the better.”

The Wyoming Cowboys are at Air Force Saturday evening. Kickoff is set for 5 pm.
