Yesterday was a day during the holiday season for thinking about giving to those less fortunate. Giving Tuesday is a state- and nationwide effort to remind residents that this is the time of year to help in any way possible. Craig Showalter, president of the Wyoming Community Foundation, says the Tuesday after Black Friday and Cyber Monday was chosen to kick off the giving season for a reason.
Ryan Lance, a board member for the Wyoming Community Foundation, says the state of Wyoming has been hit hard over the last year with job layoffs and now is the time to think about people in need.
Individuals can get involved by giving just a little to an organization or cause in their community.
