A wanted man has been taken into custody by a Wyoming State Trooper after 26 years of avoiding arrest. Kirk T. Bush, a 46 year old resident of Denver, Colorado, was stopped by the trooper on August 09th on Interstate 25 southbound at mile post 107 approximately 30 miles north of Wheatland, Wyoming for a motorcycle headlight violation.
Bush was taken into custody after the trooper failed to accept Bush’s alias of Troy T. Stone and furthered the investigation. Once Bush’s true identity was discovered by the trooper, an active U.S. Marshals warrant for Bush was discovered for drug offenses out of San Diego County, California. The warrant had been entered on June 08th, 1989.
Mr. Bush was arrested without incident and has been transported to the Platte County Detention Center in Wheatland. Bush has been charged with interference with a peace officer (for providing false information), misdemeanor marijuana possession, a driver’s license violation and being held on the 26 year old warrant.
