Mostly Sunny & Warm Today, Chance For Hit Or Miss Thunderstorms

A ridge of high pressure will be settled over the state of Wyoming for the rest of today, Wednesday, and Thursday.  There will be a small supply of monsoonal moisture transferred into the region today.  A better supply of monsoonal moisture will then be funneled into the region on Wednesday and Thursday.  For today, expect mostly sunny skies, light to breezy winds, and seasonably warm temperatures statewide.  Daytime highs will stay in the 70’s and 80’s.  There will also be a chance for a few hit or miss showers and thunderstorms.  Any storm that develops could produce hail, gusty winds, and brief periods of heavy rain.  Expect more clouds than sun and a good chance for rain showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday.  Heavy rain and minor flooding will be the main concerns during this time, especially across western and far southern portions of the state.  Temperatures will also remain very warm to hot and near average throughout the state.
