Rain and snow over the past week has helped boost some of Wyoming’s river basins.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service says the moisture helped boost snowpack of river basins in the southeast and central portions of the state.

The Wind River and Sweetwater river basins saw big jumps in particular.

But river basins the northwest part of the state didn’t see much moisture last week and continue to decrease.

Statewide, the snowpack increased from 55 percent of median last week to 59 percent this week.

Still, below normal snowmelt streamflow is expected across all major basins in the state.

However, reservoirs in the state are 110 to 120 percent above average in storage thanks to carryover water from last year.
