The week off was big for the Wyoming Cowboys to prepare for their upcoming matchup at Air Force. The Pokes have always been pretty good defensively against the Falcons under head coach Craig Bohl. The triple option always bring about some difficult challenges. Along the defensive line, they’ve got to be able to ready their keys and stay disciplined. Defensive lineman Ravontae Holt says it’s different than anything they’ll see all year. But, Holt adds, having a bye week to prepare for the Falcons was big for them.
“I think that was huge because all of my keys, and everything I’m seeing with my eyes, is coming a lot faster,” said Holt. “So I feel this week of practice is going to be a lot smoother for me, and the rest of the defense. The bye week was huge.”
The Cowboys are back in action this weekend, at Air Force. Kickoff is set for 5 pm Saturday evening.
