Windy Conditions Likely For Central & Southeastern Wyoming [VIDEO]

The state of Wyoming will be in-https://youtu.be/O9CVYXDcpWsbetween a low pressure system to the east and higher pressure to our west.  As a result, strong to high winds will be found throughout central and southeastern Wyoming today into later tonight.  Wind gusts between 50 and 60 mph will be possible through mid-day and then expect gusts as high as 50 mph for the rest of the day.  Strong to high winds will also likely create areas of blowing snow, which will reduce visibility and keep roads slick and icy.  We also cannot rule out a few lingering snow showers along the South Dakota and Nebraska state lines, which will also reduce visibility and continue to keep roads slick and icy.  Elsewhere, expect breezy to gusty winds with improving road and travel conditions.  The entire state of Wyoming will also see partly to mostly cloudy skies and cold temperatures today, with highs in the 20’s and 30’s.  Higher pressure will build over the state on Wednesday and Thursday.  Mostly sunny skies, breezy to gusty winds, and mainly dry weather conditions will be in the forecast during this time.  Temperatures will also become warmer and above normal.
