The University of Wyoming Cowgirl swimming and diving team placed eight individuals and two relay’s on the All-Mountain West swimming and diving team, announced by the conference on Monday. All-Conference honors are awarded to the top eight finishers in the individual events and top three relay team finishers at the 2016 MW Championships held in College Station, Texas, last week.
Of the eight Cowgirls, Emily Ridout and Isobel Ryan led the way with three individual honors each. They were both named All-MW in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 breast. Additionally, both Ridout and Ryan were a part of the 200 free and 400 medley relay teams to garner the honors as well. Six Cowgirls earned multiple accolades.
Kari Campbell was named All-MW for the third time in her career, while Keely Bishop earned the honors for the second time. Campbell earned All-MW in the 1-meter and platform diving events, as Bishop earned the accolades in the platform.
Molly Coonce earned All-MW in the 100 and 200 fly, as fellow senior Emma Dow was named All-MW in the 400 IM. Maria Harutjunjan and Kelly Sheldon were the only sophomores for Wyoming to earn all-conference honors. Harutjunjan earned the accolades in the 100 and 200 breast, as Sheldon did so in the 500 free and 200 back.
